The critically acclaimed third roots album Things fall apart, was an exciting release. This sampler tape takes me back to the hype surrounding the album. These tapes were given out like candy, to promote the album. I remember getting mine at the tower records in south philadelphia, which sadly close a few years back. Infamous philly Dj Jazzy Jeff lays down the mix, okayplayer has posted the digital rip on their website, check it out.

Japan Release - C.C.R. S/T
Only half the album, some tracks were later released on U.S. release Earthtones, which i left out. Strongley suggest getting your hands on a hard copy, Japanese Lp style cardboard case with great artwork and foldout poster. Its running at $45 on amazon. Featuring the amazing Dj Mistu Remix of Weekend Soul.

Mission:

Album was released in Japan that featured all of Missions vinly singles and mixes with a couple of unreleased tracks. Mission is now known as Crown City Rockers, but Mc Moe Pope left the band. This Material was released 98-02 era, getting a hold of this cd is harder than collecting all their 12" singles rare ep. Comp released in 2005, on Rockwell Records. Production by Thes One, Headnodic and Woodstock. B-side favorites, Home and Strange Days, also unreleased Higher and Distrubing Behavior pt 2.

Now-Again Records host rare funk and rnb that was released decades ago and re-releasing them on cd for the rebirth of diggin old breaks. Ohno has a few unreleased tracks with P but this promo also contains a few verses from Percee- Ps last Lp Perseverance. And Oh has used tracks from Now Agains catalog and sampled chopped and sequenced vintage funk.
